guest bathroom remodel

Today I’m sharing all the details from my most recent client bathroom remodel. My client asked me to help with the remodel of two bathrooms in her home in San Diego, CA. We started with her hallway guest bathroom. She wanted to keep the layout the same but update everything else. She asked for a simple but updated look with some beach influence.

VANITY

Since my client’s home only has two bathrooms and her daughters share this hallway guest bathroom, I suggested we go with a new double vanity a little bigger than her current single vanity. Here is the vanity we selected:

DESIGN CHOICES

I decided to play up the tile in the shower a little but keep the bathroom simple since it’s smaller space and doesn’t get a lot of natural light. My client loves the beach and asked for a little bit of beach influence. I went with an accent wall in the shower in a taupe colored scallop tile. The other two shower walls have a white stacked subway tile.

The other big changes were medicine cabinets that double as mirrors and sconces above. We changed everything in the bathroom from tile and paint to the window and door. This family friendly bathroom now has an updated style and more function.
