I’ve been wanting to do a home tour ever since I first started blogging. I just love looking into the homes of other people and seeing the way they design and decorate! Since my own home is under some major construction right now, I asked my good friend, 1st grade teacher Jolene to give us a look into her beautiful San Diego home.  

Q: How long have you lived in your home?

Jolene: 9 years!

Q: Ah yes, I remember picking paint colors with you! 

Jolene: Yes! They still look great!

Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your home?

Jolene: I love to entertain!

Q:  Tell us more…

Jolene: I love my deck. It’s what first attracted me to the home. Since the kitchen and dining room are both so small, we spend most of our time outside on the deck. In San Diego, the weather is beautiful almost all year! Starting in the spring and all the way through fall, we eat outside on the deck.

Q: What’s your current favorite decor purchase?

Jolene: The chair!

Q: It’s really cute! Where did you find it? And tell us your favorite stores to shop home decor!

Jolene: I got lucky and found the chair at TJ Maxx. I’d say my favorite stores are both TJ Maxx + Home Goods.

Q: What has been your biggest design challenge?

Jolene: The kitchen and dining room are very small so finding furniture and accents to fit those spaces were very challenging.

Q: If you could change one thing about your home, what would it be?

Jolene: Better lighting. I would add recessed lighting everywhere to brighten the place up!
